Global GNSS Simulators Market
The global market size for GNSS simulators is expected to reach 310.8 million USD by 2028, growing at a CAGR of 9.2% during the forecast period. To determine its position, a receiver needs to obtain data from at least three satellites. GNSS satellites orbit the Earth at a medium altitude once every 11 hours, 58 minutes, and 2 seconds. Each satellite transmits signals encoded with precise orbital information and high-accuracy timestamps from atomic clocks. The time information sent from the satellites is encoded so that the receiver can continuously determine the time of signal transmission. This signal consists of information that the receiver uses to calculate the position of the satellites and accurately locate itself. From the time difference between the received signal and the broadcast time, the receiver calculates the distance or range to the satellites. Once the receiver knows the exact position relative to each satellite, it converts that position into Earth-based coordinates and provides the result as latitude, longitude, and altitude.
